Together, they organize events dedicated to celebrating the life and legacy of James Dewitt Yancey—also known as Jay Dee or J Dilla. A groundbreaking artist and producer from Detroit who passed away in 2006, Dilla left an indelible mark on hip-hop with his distinctive sound and lasting influence that continues to resonate throughout today’s music culture.
