Environmentally Responsible Festival-Goer’s Guide

Making the JOAT International Street Dance Festival environmentally friendly
is a group effort!

Help us reduce the festival’s environmental footprint
by following these 7 suggestions:

Use environmentally friendly means of transportation, whether active or collective! The Festival site is well served by public transit (there are Metro and Bixi stations nearby), and there’s also plenty of bike parking close to the site.

Help us reduce and sort waste by using the sorting bins (recycling, garbage and compost) located at all festival venues.
Our green team will be on hand to guide you and answer any questions you may have.

Avoid using plastic on site, and limit the use of single-use plastics by bringing your own reusable containers (water bottles/flasks/cups). There are water stations on site.

Opt for fresh, local food prepared by our partner restaurants and caterers.
Enjoy the selection of local drinks provided by our partner, Microbrasserie des Trois-Lacs.

Consult the online program and share our digital information tools.

Take our on-site survey to help us measure our event’s carbon footprint and assess our environmental impact more accurately!

Finally, if you have any suggestions, ideas or comments to help us improve our environmentally responsible approach, don’t hesitate to come and talk to our on-site team or write to us at: info@joatfestival.com
