There are never enough opportunities to come together in a festive atmosphere while celebrating street dance and the cultural richness of our community. We invite you to join us and see THE SHED, a 100% improvised live band featuring hip hop, jazz, and R&B.

ABOUT THE SHED

THE SHED is a pop-up live hip hop, R&B and jazz concert series that features a guest artist alongside a band of some of the best artists from the local improvised music scene. Since its inception in 2018, THE SHED has had the opportunity to host artists like Rich Brown, J.Hoard, Endea Owens, Melanie Charles, Tara Kannangara and Phase One, and has curated multiple events, including several for the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal (2019, 2022).

THE SHED sets itself apart from other concerts and productions with its unique programming and the fact that all music is improvised throughout the evening. Visually, every space is designed so as to reinforce the singularity of the event: attending THE SHED concert is an immersive experience rather than a mere occasio
