This year, JOAT celebrates 10 years of developing and sharing street dance culture.

By creating events that bring together a community of artists from near and far, JOAT invites audiences from all backgrounds to discover the multiple artistic practices that stem from these Afro-American dances.

Do Phan Hoi has documented the fascinating evolution of JOAT Festival (Jack Of All Trades) through his film JOAT.EXE. This short documentary traces the festival’s journey from its humble beginnings ten years ago in the vibrant neighborhoods of Montreal to its triumphant arrival at the prestigious Place des Arts in 2022.

With an original soundtrack by the talented Shash’U and Magnanimous, JOAT.EXE immerses viewers in the dynamic world of street dance, celebrating the artists and moments that have shaped the festival’s history.
