THE GET DOWN is a vibrant celebration of the women shaping Montreal’s street dance scene, brought to life through a female-led cypher.

Open to dancers of all styles, this space is an invitation to dance, connect, and create together to the sounds of a DJ set by DJ FIDDYS

HADESOFBLACK.

Join us as we celebrate the women of Montreal and beyond who shape, sustain, and push the boundaries of this culture.

GLO ROMY

Glo Romy, aka “BIG GLO,” is a dancer and creative director whose work is deeply rooted in community and culture. She is the founder of BOSSY, an organization dedicated to empowering women through street dance. Central to her mission is uplifting and growing the very community that shaped her artistic journey.

BOSSY

BOSSY empowers women through street dance events, programs, and opportunities that build community and culture.

Bossy’s first project was a dynamic short film honoring the women of Toronto’s street dance scene. Led by an all-women cast and crew, it brought together dancers from multiple generations, showcasing pioneers alongside newcomers. Since then, BOSSY has focused on creating spaces where women in street dance feel seen and celebrated. This work has expanded our community, including trips to Montréal and Vancouver, and partnerships with key organizations like JOAT Festival international de street dance and Unity Charity. We have also produced several projects offering paid opportunities, including “BOSSY BOOTCAMP,” a free street dance program designed to make training accessible.

We’re excited to keep the momentum going—growing our reach and continuing to elevate women in the street dance world. BOSSY is by women, for women.
