FunkTastik
Funktreal is a groundbreaking magazine that documents, for the first time, the history of Popping in Montreal—a dance rooted in funk and African American traditions and part of the broader street dance culture. Through documentary research, interviews, and archival photographs, Funktreal Vol. 1 features ten artists sharing their memories and experiences of Montreal’s Popping scene from the 1970s through the 2000s.
