ABOUT KRUMP

Krump is a dance form that emerged in Los Angeles in the early 2000s. Derived in part from clowning, the style is characterized by intense, expressive and percussive movements, driven by raw energy.

The dancers use their arms, torsos and feet to express a range of powerful emotions – from rage to joy – often in a form of spontaneous bodily narrative. Although deeply rooted in the experiences of its creators, this dance is now practiced around the world as a means of channeling passion, struggle and individuality.
