On Thursday, May 8, Artistic Director Handy Yacinthe unveiled several of the events lined up for the 2025 edition of JOAT Festival international de street dance, set to energize the Quartier des spectacles from August 26 to September 1.
On the Program: JOAT Classics
Breaking, hip-hop, popping and beatmaker battles, master classes, intro workshops, an art market, an exhibition, and DJ sets—everything that defines the spirit of the festival is back to ignite the streets, storefronts, and the Place des Arts esplanade, and more.
Festival Highlights
- Four battles at Club Soda: the guest battles and judges have already been announced, and the vibe is set to be electric!
- New this year: a KidzBattle at Club Soda on Saturday, August 30. Young prodigies aged 10 to 15 will light up the iconic JOAT Festival stage.
- The windows of the 2-22 Building (2 Sainte-Catherine Street East) once again become a stage for Say it loudly, a Hip Hop creation for 10 dancers by Ricky Saint-Jusna and K A N K.
